Method

  1. Turn the grill to high.
  2. Grate the cheese and mix with the beaten egg and mustard. Season with a little salt and some black pepper.
  3. Cut the hot cross buns in half.
  4. Gently grill on the uncut side.
  5. Then turn over the slices and put a slice of ham on top.
  6. Divide the cheese mixture between the slices, spreading it almost to the edges of the buns.
  7. Grill again for a couple of minutes until the cheese is golden, and serve.
